This event honors those powerful and inspiring people who have battled cancer while helping spread awareness about prevention and detection of cancer, assisting with raising funds to find cures, as well as supporting programs and providing services for those facing the disease. Cancer affects millions of lives each year, and the Finish the Fight Invitational along with the American Cancer Society serves as a beacon of hope, uniting our community to make a difference. We believe that by coming together, we can create positive change in the lives of those affected by cancer and contribute to the ongoing efforts to find cures. This event plays a crucial role in raising funds to support groundbreaking research, as well as in providing essential programs and services for individuals facing the disease.
The American Cancer Society strives every day to advance research, deliver lifesaving programs and services, and to reduce disparities in cancer care. Thanks to the progress we’re making together, mortality rates from the disease have fallen 33% since 1991, saving 3.8 million lives. There are now 17 million cancer survivors in the U.S., with over $3 billion invested in cancer research since 1991. With your support, we will continue to help the American Cancer Society carry out its mission to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.

As the only organization combating cancer through advocacy, discovery, and patient support, the American Cancer Society has made significant contributions to the fight against cancer over the last 110 years. We advocate for lifesaving policy changes, promote healthy lifestyles to help prevent cancer, and provide information, answers, and support to people in every community who have been touched by cancer. We also research cancer and its causes to find more answers and better treatment.
Yet, there is still work to be done – which is why we are so glad you have joined us today! The American Cancer Society continues to work tirelessly to fund research and provide support for all types of cancer. And thanks to your generous support, we work to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
Every cancer. Every life.
